Realistic brows. Tailored to you.
Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique that creates realistic, hair-like strokes to fill, define and reshape your brows — giving you naturally full, perfectly shaped brows that last 1–3 years without the daily effort.
Microblading uses a fine, handheld blade to deposit pigment just beneath the surface of the skin in precise, feather-like strokes that mimic real brow hairs. The result is a soft, natural-looking brow that is completely tailored to your face shape, colouring and personal preference.
Unlike block-filled brows, microblading gives an incredibly natural finish — each stroke is placed individually, meaning the result blends seamlessly with your existing brow hair for a full, defined look that genuinely looks like your own.
Microblading is available at our Salford studio only. Book your appointment at Vintage Nail & Beauty, 211 Langworthy Rd, Salford.
A consultation is included with every appointment so we can discuss your brow goals, hair growth pattern and skin type before recommending the best technique for you.
Please read the Pre & Post Care guide and Before You Book page before your appointment — there are important steps to follow in the lead-up to your session.
In the first 48 hours your brows will appear very dark and bold — this is completely normal. As the skin heals, the colour will soften and lighten significantly. You may experience some flaking and peeling around days 3–7; let this happen naturally without picking.
After the flaking phase completes, you may notice the colour appears very light or even seems to have disappeared. This is the ghosting phase — the colour is still there and will bloom back gradually over the following 2–4 weeks as the skin continues to heal from the inside out.
Results can vary depending on skin type. Oily skin tends to retain less pigment than dry or combination skin, and may require more frequent top-ups. This will always be discussed honestly during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect from your result.
Results vary between individuals depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Your top-up appointment at 4–6 weeks is essential to achieving the best possible outcome.
A consultation is included either prior to or at the start of every Microblading appointment so we can discuss which technique and style is best for you.
We discuss your desired shape, thickness and finish. We map out your brow shape using your natural bone structure as a guide and select the perfect pigment shade for your colouring.
A topical numbing cream is applied and left to take effect. We take our time here — your comfort throughout the treatment is our priority.
Fine, precise hair strokes are created using a specialist microblading tool. Pigment is deposited just beneath the skin surface. Sessions typically take 2–3 hours.
Your included top-up at 4–6 weeks perfects the colour, fills any gaps and refines the shape. Follow your aftercare guide carefully for the best possible result.
The area is numbed before and throughout the treatment. Most clients describe the sensation as light scratching or pressure. Pain tolerance varies, but the majority of clients find it very manageable.
Microblading typically lasts 1–3 years. Results vary depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. An annual colour boost is recommended to maintain the result at its best.
A patch test is not mandatory but is available on request. Please contact us directly to arrange one prior to your appointment if you'd like one.
Yes, in many cases — but this depends on the previous work. Please get in touch before booking if you have existing microblading so we can advise you on the best approach.
After the flaking phase completes, the colour may appear to have vanished. This is completely normal — it is called the ghosting phase and is a natural part of healing. The pigment will bloom back gradually over 2–4 weeks.
Microblading can be performed on oily skin, but the results may fade faster and require more frequent top-ups. We will always discuss this honestly at consultation so you have realistic expectations.
Allow around 7–10 days of keeping the brows dry and following aftercare. The initial dark, bold appearance will soften significantly within the first week.
